Some cans and a bottle of soda on the table.

Introduction

Suns Tripe's founders were tired of cold-pressed juice looking like a wellness chore white labels, clinical type, a mason jar aesthetic that photographs well but doesn't feel like anything. They wanted a juice that looked like it belonged at a late-night party as much as a Sunday reset. We built the identity around a groovy, hand-shaped wordmark and a swirling retro pattern that shifts color per flavor but never loses the brand underneath it.

Challenges

The swirl pattern was the whole point of the brand, but busy backgrounds are exactly what makes a wordmark disappear. We had to design a mark bold and contained enough sitting inside its own blob shape to stay legible no matter how saturated or chaotic the pattern underneath got, across three very different flavor colorways.

Final thoughts

The wordmark now sits inside a solid shape that acts like an island against the pattern, so it reads instantly whether the bottle is green apple, mango, or strawberry. The system has enough flex in the swirl artwork that new flavors get a fresh, distinct pattern without ever needing a new logo lockup.
